As part of “Berkeley Says No to Torture” Week, Oct. 10-16, 2010, Justine Sharrock speaks regarding the role of average Americans, the soldiers enlisted in military service and involved in the illegal detention and torture of those held in Guantanamo.
She also shares the views voiced by average American civilians, the soldiers’ family members and townspeople, as well as the general public.

Refer to her new book, Tortured: When Good Soldiers Do Bad Things, recently released in June, 2010 for an in depth look into the views, the myths, and the realities of the U.S. torture program.
