The School of the Americas is a US sponsored military training facility.
Hundreds have put their bodies on the line, fasted, vigiled and have gotten arrested for speaking out against the violence perpetrated by the SOA and US foreign policy. Nancy Smith is one of the SOA Watch Prisoners of Conscience.

Since protests against the SOA/WHINSEC began 20 years ago, 251 people have served sentences of up to two years for nonviolent civil disobedience. Collectively, they have served over 100 years of federal time….. while those responsible for the training of human rights violators and instruction of torture have never been held accountable. On January 5, 2011 Nancy was sentenced to six months in federal prison.
