I was in Atlanta, Georgia yesterday lobbying against SB 129, a Religious Freedom Restoration Act which would license individuals and businesses to defy government regulation to discriminate against others. While lobbying, I ran into a paid lobbyist asking legislators to restrict use of the College Board’s Advanced Placement United States History Exam. When I requested information from her about the exam’s defects, she provided this document, which I scanned. SR 80 is Senate Resolution 80, which the Georgia Senate passed and which its House may pass any day. I don’t have time to discuss all the scary ramification of this document and the movement it represents, but I wanted to pass this on to others ASAP. Continue reading

Calvin C. Johnson was falsely accused of a crime he did not commit. Mr. Johnson served 16 years of a life sentence.

It is a WRFG Public Affairs event and a donation of $10 is requested to support the station.

Palast writes in the first chapter that $9 billion for two nuclear power plants was hide in an emergency funding bill for life-saving mine resistant ambush-protected vehicles for our troops.  Nuclear Innovation of North America (NINA) ,formerly NRG Corp. of Houston, TX, beat out 20 other companies to win half the $9 billion in the war bill.

“Smoking gun” paperwork and more details on stories of corporate entities disregard for legal obligations to operate pipelines, nuclear power plants and oil drilling rigs in a safe manner- AND LYING ABOUT IT writes an Amazon reader.

“Friends” is possibly a better word to use when speaking of the homeless in Atlanta. The homeless men, women & children of this city have captured my heart. I want to do everything I can to draw attention to their world and the decisions being made that affect them. This Film is about sharing everything I can connected to subject of homelessness in Atlanta. It is intended to be a resource to anyone interested in the subject.
