MLUKHIYA (Jute Leaf Stew)
Jute is barely known in the U.S., but in the Middle East and North Africa mlukhiya is a staple food for peasants and wealthy alike. We had it with lamb, but mlukhiya stew can also be cooked with chicken. It is usually eaten with rice.
